PRE-CONSTRUCTION NOTES
Before starting a project, we take time to go over what to expect from us and to learn about what is important to you. Certain things, like construction noise and some site disturbance are unavoidable. Other aspects, like letting the cat out, are. We will talk about these things with you.
THE FIRST CUT
From the first day on the job, we will provide a clean, professional, well-managed site. This promise is coupled with our commitment to high quality and regular communication with our clients. If something isn’t working for you, we want to know about (and fix it) before it becomes a problem.
MEETINGS, PAPERWORK AND EVERYTHING ELSE THAT KEEPS US FRIENDS!
Communication is important to us. This is as true for our subcontractors and suppliers as much as it is for communications with our clients.
To this end, Align Build schedules regular weekly site meeting for each project. Often this is just walking through the project with the Align Build project lead and the client, but can also involve the architecht/designer, a subcontractor working on the next phase of building, and/or an interior designer.
These meetings will always be followed up by a detailed set of notes forwarded to all participants for review. Please follow this link for a sample of our meeting notes.
Project changes are all but inevitable. These can be as small as a color change of the bathroom floor tile or as large as a scope change to the entire window order. Stefan, the Align Build company founder, has (only half jokingly) told former remodel clients to design for 70% of their budget, and save the rest for change orders. While this is pretty extreme advice, having dedicated funds left in your budget for unexpected discoveries or things you didn’t know or think you wanted makes it easier to add these elements in later in the project.
Project changes with Align Build are straightforward and transparent. Every change of scope (COS) is written up and presented to our clients for approval before materials are ordered or any extra work starts. Please follow this link for a sample of our COS form.

THE FINAL CLEAN
When we will leave your project it will be clean and complete.
WARRANTY
Align provides a warranty for our work. This is also the standard for our subcontractors. We want our work to last as much as you do!
